A cracking red and white pair from the North Catalan region (as we like to call it), but more usually described as Roussillon, deep in southern France.
No oak treatment
Tasting Note: Slightly floral on the nose with a hint of minerality and pastry. Honeysuckle, peaches and herbs shine through from the Rousanne supported by lovely texture, depth and weight from the Grenache Blanc. A salivating mouth, which is slightly saline and with juicy pear notes.
Food Matching: This stands up well to rich paté, creamy sauces and white meats.
